Exclamation Marks

I just left a comment on Darrell's blog, with four straight sentences ending in exclamation marks. I almost can't stand to look at it! At most, I like to use one exclamation mark in a paragraph, not four. It just sounds too... giddy, or something. Now that I've got that off my chest, I should get back to work.

Spring is Coming

I just have to remind myself of that, because sitting in a cold office with -30 outside, it sure doesn't feel like it. Environment Canada says it's supposed to be above 0 by the end of the week. Sure hope they're right.

Question, probably for Pete or possibly Scott. I need a new Torque Converter Solenoid for the van. Does it make sense just to change that, or would I be better off to spend a little bit extra and just get an entire rebuilt transmission. For the most part it seems okay, but there's the odd occasion when it doesn't go into gear properly (maybe once a month, at most). It just hesitates for a second, then kind of drops into gear (from a stop).

Not sure what my best option is.

The Hospital...again

Well, once again we ended up taking Darrian in to the hospital, this time on Wednesday night. Once again he had x-rays, this time for his chest. He was having trouble breathing - very raspy and shallow breaths. They had him inhale some kind of medicine, then finally released him with a prescription for a drug used to treat pneumonia. They never said he had pneumonia (called it a bronchial infection), but that's what the medicine is for. It was amazing how much better he was after the treatment at the hospital. It was like night and day. Speaking of which, we got home at 2 am. Yay. But he seems pretty much back to normal now, so it appears everything is working the way it is supposed to.

Other than that, I'm reading an excellent book called "The Forgotten Ways" by Allan Hirsch. Want some stimulating thoughts about doing church completely different? This would be a good one to pick up.

Lombardi is gone?

Trade deadline day. Flames just (apparently) traded Matthew Lombardi, Brandon Prust (who?) and a 1st round pick for Olli Jokinen. While I'm pleased with the acquisition of Jokinen, I'm going to miss Lombardi. I always liked him. Hope he does well in Phoenix. And I hope this trade works out well for the Flames.
